BIGMESS clients are from the future. They are fresh. Attitudinal, driven, and empathetic.

From heralded interior and architecture studios to emerging artists, our stable of practitioners represents a vibrant spectrum within art and design. They often cross-pollinate.

We actually prefer to refer to them as family, rather than ‘clients’.  Our shared work is personal.  The BIGMESS family understands that what they put into the world can affect, uplift, and influence others. Most of all, they share the same aim: To leave a thought-provoking mark on our world.

BIGMESS partners with individuals, studios, and brands to realize their most provocative ambitions.

Through memorable storytelling, newfound connections and strategies, BIGMESS fosters generative creative practices and businesses.

Alexis & Ginger

The namesake design studio founded by Alexis Tingey and Ginger Gordon, who met
during their studies in furniture design at the Rhode Island School of Design. The studio is based in New York City and its practice is one of research and material exploration from carved wooden forms and textured textiles to inlay and stained glass. Alexis & Ginger’s objects are embedded with moments of the past and share stories through abstraction and composition of materials.

Canoa

The platform is the first AI-assisted, collaborative online tool for interior designers to create and shar data-rich mood boards, layouts, and product schedules with their teams. CANOA is made up of a team of designers, technologists, architects, data scientists, and engineers united by a mission to make design more widely accessible.

A trained architect, she currently teaches at the Pratt Institute and has taught at Carnegie Mellon, the University of Pennsylvania, and Parsons New School.

Matt Byrd

sculptor

Matt Byrd is a Raleigh-based sculptor whose abstract stone carvings express the wondrous ephemera of nature. Working primarily in found granite, his

interlocking configurations — featuring stones painstakingly chiseled and textured for hours by hand — show his eye for pleasing proportions and delicate balance. For Byrd, solid construction is key, as is maintaining an experimental approach to the beloved craft of hand chiseling. His hefty dolerite stones, with their striking bluish-gray reveal, show his flair for embracing the natural peculiarities of any chosen material.
